åtto abrasives is a premium manufacturer of both Rubber & Resin Bonded Cut-Off wheels. These products are used to cut a vast range of expensive and delicate materials with extreme precision.

Our expert staff can select a suitable abrasive type & size as well as bond type (e.g. Resinoid/Rubber), to create the perfect cut-off wheel for your purpose. The Rubber/Resin bond holds the wheels’ abrasive components (e.g. Aluminium Oxide & Silicon Carbide) together and allows the wheel to wear away at a set specific rate and release the abrasive particles responsible for the cutting action to occur. Thanks to our diligent production staff, åtto can produce cutting wheels to a thickness of just 0.1mm at a tolerance as low as +/-0.025mm.

Both Rubber & Resin bonded Cut-Off wheels are suitable for wet cutting processes, where a coolant tank within the cutting machine circulates coolant to the wheel & workpiece to reduce heat. The Wet cutting process is excellent for sensitive materials, such as titanium, stainless steel, ceramics, non-ferrous & composite substances. Wet cutting with Atto’s rubber bonded grades provide high quality cuts & surface finish, extended wheel life, minimal burn and burr-free cuts.

Dry cutting processes are exclusively performed by Resin Bonded Cut-Off wheels, with the Resin bonds’ extra durability making it heat & pressure resistant, thereby removing the need for coolant. Resin bonded Cut-Off wheels can cut a wide range of materials with utmost accuracy, and are highly efficient due to their fast-operating speeds.
